Physical Inventory document at material group level

I am doing the activity of physical inventory in one of our warehouse number. I would like to ask is  there any way to carry out this inventory the material group level? I wanted to create inventory document material group wise. Please suggest any Function module exist for this requirement.

Hi Sudarshan,

1. PI is never carried out at Material group level. In IM, it is carried out at SLoc level wherein WM, it is carried out at Storage Bin (or Quant).

2. You can use MI31 to create PI Doc for a particular Material Group

I do not think Physical Inventory can be done at material group level. But somewhat close to your requirement, you can carry out physical inventory by creating sessions. This process is used when you need to perform physical inventory for a lot of materials. Please refer below links.

There is a function module for WM physical inventory count, 'L_INV_COUNT_EXT'
