Unable to assign the plant code to Controlling area.

Hi  Experts,

I have maintained company code JS01  and Created controlling  area JSCA with required Chart of accounts and fiscal variant, currency. my problem is when iam tring to assign company code JS01 to controlling area JSCA , message is coming No values found when i try to select( JS01 for asssignmen) using F4 Option. whereas company code JS01 is available with F4 Option while assing plants(J100,J200) to company code(JS01).

Please guide me where iam doing the mistake.

Hi,

like Maheswaran already mentioned, the company code has to be copied from an existing one.

Reason: there are a lot of entries in a lot of tables to be updated (you will see a huge amount of tables in your transport - it's just impossible to do this manually).

So copy the company code and your problem will be fixed.

Hi Naga,

if you are talking about enterprise structure, then I don't think there is a direct assignment of plant code to controlling area.

Plant code is always assign to company code and company code is assigned to controlling area, it means a indirect assignment.

How you created the Company code?? Have you copied from existing company code or created fresh??

Generally, company codes will be copied from country specific standard company codes.

Still I am not seeing any logic behind not coming in assignment of controlling area & coming in assignment of plant.

If you are not FICO consultant, check with some FICO person.
