DiskIO issues with WebI Report Server

Hello all,

On a SAP BO 4.0 SP7 Windows machine, the WebIntelligenceReportServer reports on regular basis DeskIO errors in Windows Event Viewer. The following error description is visible in Windows Event Viewer

Failed to determine status information of file/directory D:\Apps\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data\X.X.local_6700\X.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer1\sessions\_AfPlNOD0YdRFnLBvfS9w3To\P0pi3168KT220{X.X.local}{X.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer1}{AfPlNOD0YdRFnLBvfS9w3To}.tmp from the file system. Please check for file system corruption, permissions and sharing violation.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Also if you can confirm if the WIPS is affected , crashing , hanging or just the error message keeps showing with now impact.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

I've followed the steps as stated in article 1771273 and will keep an eye on the Event Log to see if this solved the issue.

I've checked the Event Viewer again, but the problem still occurs.
