Problem in creating profit and loss account

I am trying to create a trading goods consumption expenses account in general ledger account

While trying to create profit and loss account. it is asking me to select open item management in account management company code in addition to open line item display

it should not have been displayed as it is a P&L account

Can somebody help me to find my error in the steps i have taken to create the account

Hi Aniket,

The Company code section fields of a GL master are controlled by Account group settings of the GL master. So please check what account group you have selected (as suggested by Jaymin) and then check the settings whether OIM and LI display are marked as mandatory for that account group.

The accordingly you need to select your account group as per your requirement.

Please check the GL Account Group, Field Status seems mandatory.

Hi Aniket,

Have you created in the Account group-"EXPENDITURE ACCOUNTS".

If you have created under Assets or liabilities block then there will be some error.

Attach the screenshot of the T code FS00 for the problematic GL.
