Agentry Barcode scanner and next screen

Hi All,

We are having a detail screen with a barcode scanner and as per standard configuration the application is designed in such a way that when we scan an item and then click on next on the screen it moves to the next screen and this is associated with a transaction. But now we want to do modificaiton in such a way that instead of clicking on the next button when we scan a particular item it should automatically move to the next screen. Is it possible and if yes then please guide me on this.

Regards,

Kaivan Shah

    Hi Kaivan,

You need to do the following:

    - Define the field to be scanned as the last field on the screen (it should be the last field in the field list. if you want it to appear at a different position on the screen you can manually set the row position in the field properties)

    - Define the field as scan enabled

    - Select the Rules/Hyperlink/Special Value tab, in the Rules section, check the 'Change focus' box to Automatically change focus to next field

Please note that this may not work with wedge scanners.

    Thanks,

    Wenonah

    Yes, it is possible.

But some amount of UI config is required

On the scan field for exact match or no match action, configure it to a navigation Sub action.

    All the best!

let me know if this helps
