Unable to edit KF properties in Open Hub Destination

Hello BW experts,

I am unable to edit one of the KF properties in Oen Hub Destination. The requirement is to send data with 2 decimal places. Ex : If the actual data in cube is 100.69 USD, currently only 100 USD is getting populated. This KF is currently defined as NUMC with length 15 and no decimal place is defined. When trying to edit the OHD field properties with decimal place as 2, I am getting below message.

Appreciate your inputs if any how to change the OHD field properties which populate data as 100.69.

Error Log : Decimal Places Row 0: Property cannot be changed

Long text :

Row 0: Property cannot be changed

Message no. RSB_GUI068

Diagnosis

The template InfoObject is filled. The properties are determined from the template InfoObject.

System Response

The change is not made. It is undone when the object is saved or activated.

Procedure

Delete the template InfoObject or use the external output format (FORMAT column).

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Mohan

    Thanks Raman and Kodanda Pani.

A small correction, its a charecteristic Info Object defined as NUMC.

But the cube data looks good with the current Info Object properties i.e 100.69 USD. We have an option to define the decimal places for a field in the open hub. I am unable to enter any value and save here.

As you said, where do we define the decimals at the Info object level?

    Thanks,

    Mohan

    Hi Mohan,

You need to change kf properties at info object level not at open hub level.

try to change at RSD1, use key fig option and edit mode.

    check it. it may works.

    Thanks

    Hi Mohan,

    As you said

This KF is currently defined as NUMC with length 15 and no decimal place is defined.

we are creating any KF we won't give any data type and length.

we cant change properties of KF because of you using same object some where and delete the target level data after that try to change KF proprieties.

    Thanks,

    Phani.

    Hi Mohan,

The error message indicates that you used a template InfoObject for the field settings. You cannot override this. I suggest to delete the template InfoObject and define the field settings yourself.

Re. the last remark that you are dealing with a characteristic, the only option I see is to delete the decimals in the transformation. I don't think you can work with a key figure-like field but maybe try it. I think that the mapping from a characteristic to key figure won't work. My suggestion is that you have to work with a character-like field and remove the decimals in the transformation (a small ABAP routine will do the trick I suppose).

    Best regards,

    Sander
