Restricting date based on dimension and selection of max date

Dear Experts,

I have to display the date field based on restricting Movement type(CHAR TYPE) and take MAX date to display.

How to do this in Bex Query.

If I have understood your requirement correctly, You need to convert your date field into KF by creating a Formula variable-->Replacement Path-->Select Date in Dimensions tab

Create RKF with this and restrict with Char type field value.

Finally create a Condition  by using TOP N as 1 for your KF and choose Date field in Char assignment.

Hope you achieve with my ideas.

Your understanding the issue is correct.

I Have done up to:

Then after while creating Restricted Key figure formula date field is not available in key figure. Please suggest.

Good that you are on right path. Formula Variables will only be available under CKFs. So you can create a CKF first and then use this CKF in your new RKF. Hope you got my point.

Created CKF and used in restricted KF also based on movement type restriction, but not restriction takes place.

You need to check your RKF definition carefully. Are you including or excluding values? Otherwise keep the Char type filter in Filter pane.

Dear Suman,

In RKF I am including only 201&2012 movement type but All the movement types are getting.

In Inventory user need Last Purchase date , last consumption date & last purchase date by posting date with movement types with Stock Qty & Value.

Please suggest with the same...
