We are planning a patch update for explorer. We are also updating BI Enterprise(both client and server), crystal reports, crystal reports for enterprise and crystal reports client components. Our Explorer and BWA are on linux blades whereas BI enterprise is on windows host(single host). I could not find best practices for explorer upgrade on scn or market place. Do we stop explorer first, then upgrade BI Enterprise,Crystal reports etc....then start with explorer upgrade ?. Also do we let BWA run as is whilst we are patching BI Enterprise components and Explorer. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Kalyan
My recommendation is that you stop Explorer patch the BI server first then the Explorer nodes.
Yes you can have the BWA blade running while you patch BI and Explorer there is no problems with that.
