Hi all,

we have installed BO server 4 and patch level 1, patch  level 2 ..... up to patch level 8 one by one)

So,my problem is that should i need to install BO client patch level on my Development Computer one by one upto patch level 8 or is it enough to install only patch level 8 without installing rest of the patches like patch 1, patch 2 ..... upto patch level 8?

Thanks

Mirana

Hi Marina,

Could you please share your Exact Bo version and Service patch and Patch?

FYI:

please check the fwd fit plan of business objects.

https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000272572011E

please check the Document, it is not recommended to install each and every patch in order to built your environment.

it needs to be depend on the Service patch level you are in.

Ex:your environment it Bi 4.0 SP4 and If you want to go for BI4.0 Patch 10, then no need to install BI4.0 Patch 1, -->2-->3....Pacth10.

BI4.0 Patch 10 contains all the fixes from BI 4.0 Patch 4.1 - 4.9

All these details are clearly updated in the above mentioned fwd fit plan.

Coming to your client tools question: Follow the same steps as mentioned above.

No need to install all the patches, install the patch which have all the fixes.

Hi Prasad,

I have installed server BO 4 SP 6 and patch level from 1 to 8 (one by one) and  i want to install client tool as well.

So,as you suggested, i will install BO Client tool 4 SP6 and only patch level 8 for client PCs.

Thanks
