flat file loading

hi,

i have a flat file with 10 columns. say i have a InfoObject for which i load columns 2,5,7,9

i don't want to create a new flat file. can i load the columns that i require.

the infoobject that i am loading has only the above columns.

    Not really tried this..but i believe it would not be possible with direct update of master data..

    You might want to try doing a flexible update ..where you can get all the fields in the Comm structure and then mapping the required fields in the update rules.

    Hi Ravi,

    Thats possible. Dont map the unwnated fields in the transfer routine so that you load only the equired columns.
