Grauity Calculation

Hi All,

Is it mandatory to maintain Infotype-185, Subtype-03 for calculating Grauity Tax Exemption ??

Can we maintain more than one Grauity Wage type with Tax Code SAGA for an allowance grouping ??

Thanks for your reply.

Here I Have not done any Gratuity configuration hence in Function INGRY no Gratuity Contribution is calculated. This is corrrect.

But in function INGTX where Gratuity Tax exemption is calculated . The system is calculating Tax Exemption Correctly. It is generating /4E8.

I am not able to understand the logic that how INGTX is calculating Gratuity Exemption correct.

Hi,

In system I have configured T7INT9 table where the wage type is assigned to Tax Code SAGA. In table T7INA9 i.e I have assigned Gratuity wage type to Allowance Grouping.

Neither I have not done any configuration for Gratuity nor I have maintained IT-185 with Gratuity ID.

But system still generating /4E8 i.e Gratuity Contribution Exemption. Whatever amount is entered in IT-15 for gratuity is getting exempted and stored in /4E8.

I am not able to understand the logic.

Hi Tulika,

Please check function INGRY and see whether you are getting wage type /3G1, /3G2, /3G3, /3G0 and /3G4.

The one you have mentioned is Gratuity exemption wage type /4E8 which will be processed in function INGTX.

This is the backbone for Gratuity for end user side IT 00185 with subtype 3

Hi Tulika,

yes it is must you have to maintain IT0185 subtype 0003 because in the payroll processing Function Po185 uses this data and creats table GRY. This Table GRY is further processed bu functionINGRY for gratuity computation.
