SAP Not Starting

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Basis.

Our ECC Server not starting. Disp + Work.exe is not becoming green.

I am using MaxDB.

Please Help.

Hello,

Please check weather your log area is full?

If it is full then take backup and free log area space.

For MaxDB you can use Database Manager s/w tool.

Hi,

Log area is full.

But in backup wizard log backup option is disabled.

only full backup option is present.

what to do?

Hi,

First you have to take complete backup.

Then again open the wizard. you will find that option.

Hi,

Try this,

But note this will truncate the logs.

1.  Logon with sqdctp      # db owner

2.  dbmcli -d SID -u <user>,<password>

3.  db_admin                 # gets db into admin mode

4.  util_execute clear log   # truncate logs immediately

5.  db_online                # sets db from admin into online mode

Hi,

Check maxdb logs is full. if it is full take log backup and start server. if not inspect log files dev_w0 and dev_disp from the location  <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<instance>\work
