Bounce Management

Hi,

I have a scenario wherein I have to create a campaign and execute it with commumincation medium as "Email". Now I want to know how may emails got bounced. It could be hard or soft bounce. I have done settings mentioned in SAP note 897730 - Prerequisites for Bounce Management. Also I have defined rule policy.

My confusion here is, how would campaign pick up rule policy set up by me? I am not sure about exact configuration steps required in this area.

any pointer for configuration steps in this scenario would be of great help.

Nikhil,

did you do all the below steps

  The Mailform which you use in Campaign should have ERMS Context. Once the campaign gets executed and sends the emails, the mailserver will recieve a bounceback and based on the crtieria you define in the ERMS Rule, the bounceback emails meet the condition and gets the ERMS rule executed.

Configure SMTP and SAPconnect

Create RFC system user and receiving e-mail addresses for ERMS

Define receiving e-mail addresses (transaction CRMC_IC_AUIADDR)

 

.

Map receiving e-mail address to ERMS workflow (transaction SO28)

 

.

Assign agent for e-mail handling (transaction CRM_ERMS_WF_CUST)

 

.

Activate event linking (transaction CRM_ERMS_WF_CUST)

 

.

Maintain sender e-mail addresses (transaction CRM_ERMS_OUTG_EMAIL)

 

.

.

 

.

Create ERMS Policies and Rules (extremely, utterly & completely mandatory)

Hi Devashish,

I configured rule policy as below. I added a TG in campaign with correct and incoorect email ids. After execution of campaign system faild to trigger emails for those accounts who had wrong mail id. but the filed "Do Not use Email" did not get updated.

1. Am I miising some steps?

2. How does system picks us required rule policy while execution? Where is the link between rule policy and campaign?
