Sorting reports below each other

Hey Guys,

I had a requirement to insert a query from Universe 2 below the query from Universe 1 so that it looks as if they are both in a single report. Both of them had the same column names. I achieved this in my earlier post. Now, the first column in both reports is "Department Name" for e.g. There are 5 departments from Query 1 - e.g. Dept A, Dept B, Dept C, Dept D, Dept E & 3 departments from Query 2 - e.g. Dept A, Dept B & Dept C.  Now, in the current report, I get rows from Universe 1 first and then from Universe 2. I was wondering if it is possible to sort the whole report by Department Names in the order - Dept A, B, C, D, E....... Also, is it possible to have an input control for Department name for the whole report? Thanks.

why don't you merge the Dept dimension from both queries and use it in report ? Input control is also possible for a merged dimension.
