WIS 30351 in Dashboard using QaaWS

Hi experts -

We have a dashboard built using BO 4.1 SP1.  The dashboard is fed from 8 different QaaWS data connections which are sourced from 3 different WebI Reports.  Each WebI report is based on one BW query which has a prompt for Fiscal Year/Period.  When the dashboard is executed, we are receiving the following error. 

Cannot build the query or generate the report. (WIS 30351)

However, the dashboard is bringing in the correct data.  When the selector for the Fiscal Year/Period is changed, the error occurs again, but the data is still updated in the dashboard and is correct.

Can anyone help?

its basically the web service or webi error.

Hi -

We upgraded to BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2 Patch 1 and it has resolved the issue.

We are on 4.1 SP4 patch2 and the problem has not been solved.

We have multiple web service queries in our dashboard and we receive Cannot build the query or generate the report. WIS 30351 randomly , both on IE and chrome and with different flash player versions!

One of your query is causing this problem but as other queries are running fine your dashboard still shows up the data..

I will suggest to get a copy of the dashboard and start removing queries one by one to see which query is creating this issue and then try fixing that query to fix the error..

Thank you for your response.  We have tried rebuilding from scratch the and error always occurs when the variable for the Fiscal Year/Period is changed.

Any other ideas?

Hi Katie,

What is the source of data.

Have you verified if the web services are working fine and having no issues with those variable before digging into the potential issue with dashboard integration.

Also as you are already on BI 4.1 I will also suggest to explorer if you can use the query browser which will be result in lesser maintenance of dashboard in long run.
