Hi Experts,
I am going to be put in a HCM project in a few days. Hence, got a doubt.
I found mostly that the HCM datasources are not delta enabled. So, how to overcome this. Can we create a write optimized DSO in the BW side and extract data to it and then move to a standard DSO or Cube. Or is there any other way.
Thanks and waiting for your inputs,
With Kind Regards,
Kannan
Hi,
Which module in HCM you are going to deal about. Is it PA, PAYROLL,TALENT, Travel, Time, Attendence, Training and Event Management, Compensation Management, Benefits etc,
Here Payroll supports delta management.
- Although BW-HCM datasource doesnt support delta and mostly we have to relay on Full loads.
Here if you include DSOs in between flow, then you may miss stranded flow. So, it is all about you to take decision whether to keep DSO in between or to go ahead with Stranded business content.
- If you are creating any generic FM datasource for any specific requirement , then you can goahed with DSO management for delta.
Best wishes, Vijay

Writing same again:

Hi,
There is no such, if we have sap defined data source then directly we can use them.
if standard data sources not suitable as per the requirement then we go for generic data source.
Remaining generic data source standard data source extraction steps you will get from Google.
from any source(HCM or ECC or CMR or SRM) this is the data flow.
Data source---> PSA---> DSO/CUBE.
Thanks
