Can large documents be previewed in KM with the need to download?
Thanks
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
you can use the command 'HTML version' for each indexed document in order to display àn HTML version (like 'Cached' at Google) in order to avoid large data transfer. The file itself is still accessible via it's normal document link.

Hi Patrick
thats unfortunately not implemented. But if you do a search for documents you get an abstract of the document.

Hi Patrick,
there is a special LayoutSet you could use with a KM-Navigation-iView named "ConsumerTreeListPreview", which actually display a Preview a of the document, when you click on it.
You can just try: http://YOUR_PORTAL_SERVER:YOUR_PORT/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/HtmlbEvent/prtroot/com.sap.k...
and click on a text or html file.
Hope this helps,
Robert
