Hi ,
I am able to do sorting =EPMMemberSortingOverride( ) based member ID's , but my client requires sorting based on " MEMBER DESCRIPTION " .
Please let me know if any way to achieve this .
Thanks.

Hi,
I just tested EPMMemberSortingOverride. You can sort based on description using EPMMemberSortingOverride, even though you select ID-Description from member selector.
This function overrides the member sorting and grouping that has been previously defined using the interface (Member Sorting and Grouping area in the Member Selector).
So first enable Member Sorting and Grouping from member selector of the required dimension. Use =EPMMemberSortingOverride("000","C_ACCT",TRUE,TRUE,"Description") to override sorting based on epm function .
Hope it helps...

Hi All,
I have tested the function =EPMMemberSortingOverride("000";"INACCT";TRUE;TRUE;"TOHYPACCT") to sort by property TOHYPACCT. Not working at all...

Hi,
You can sort based on description if you choose just description from Member selector with the help of Member sorting & Grouping.
But if you want both ID- Description and sorting based on Description may not be possible directly. Alternatively, Select only description from member selector and sort it , create a local member to get ID based on description. Just play around with some excel functions in local members to get required format.
Hope it helps...

Raju
