GL Hierarchy upload problem

Hi.

I am trying to load a hierarchy for 0GL_ACCOUNT from R/3. When I do that the activation fails with the message:

The node with the technical name 0500 appears more than once under the node with the ID 00000005 . A node must be hung only once under its direct predecessor (parent). The nodes with the same technical name have the IDs 00000009 and 00000019 .

While I check for this in the R/3 system, the node doesn't appear more than once.We are on 3.5 SP 13 and content 3.53 SP5

Any one seen this?

Rgds

Anand

    Hi Anand,

I am really not sure but maybe you could check this.

In GL account hierarchy in R/3 many a times a GL account is attached to more than one grouping of accounts. The reason for it being in more than one grouping is if that particular GL account has a credit balance it could be income and if it has a debit balance it could be an expense item. Similarly for balance sheet items also depending upon the balance whether it is credit or debit it could be grouped under assets or liabilities.

As a result the GL account is in both nodes, if that is the cause of the error. But I believe it is handled by BW, maybe somebody else could add to it.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers
