Business Objects Universe on top of BW System

Hi,

I developed the universe on top of bex query as a data source, Then i created  some of the webi reports on top same universe. The reports having the four zones data like East ,West, South, North, i want to display the data for East Zone users can access only East Zone data, West Zone Users can access Only West Zone data in webi report. How can achieve the same, any one can give me the  solution for this.

Hi,

you can create analysis authorization on BW side for the zone infoobject and assign the authorization  object to the user role.

Ideally you should implement the data restriction from BW side..

However if that is not a possibility then you can create a predefined condition on top of the OLAP universe using XML coding and have the user group assigned to the region in that filter..

To achieve this we can go for SSO between BW and BO and restrict Data from BW.

East Zone Users should have authorization to East Zone Data only in BW side. So same Data will be displayed in the Bo report when East zone user refresh the BO report.
