IDOC flatfile to XML

Hello,

I have following question: I want to convert a IDOC flatfile to IDOC XML

I found already following:

There is always explained how I get a file for example from an ECC. But I just want to get a file from a directory via file adapter and just convert it. What do I need the connection with an ECC for? I do not have access to that ECC that provides me that IDOC. Is there a possibility to just convert that IDOC file to an IDOCXML?
