I am implementing Payroll for an India client and facing a issue regarding ESI Sub Codes-:
There are 10 Personnel Sub Areas (Physical Locations/Offices) to which 10 ESI Main Codes are assigned. I generate 10 Challans which mention respective locations' ESI Code and Address. This is standard process.
However, there are 40 other locations where client's physical office is not there but few sales Employees work from their home. Client has taken 40 ESI Sub Codes based on these Employee's residential address. Client also generate 40 different challans with respective ESI Sub Code and Employee's residential address. (As per ESI Circular, Employer can avail ESI subcodes by mentioning Employee's residential address if company office is not there)
What is the solution for the above issue-:
1. Do we need to create these 40 locations as Personnel Sub Areas to enable the assignment of 40 ESI Sub Codes.
2. Any other way through which this can be achieved.
