InfoCube and DSO for 0EC_PCA_3 & 0EC_PCA_4

Dear experts

I am using SAP BW 7.3 SP 03. I have two Datasources which are 0EC_PCA_3 & 0EC_PCA_4 for reporting purposes.

My understanding is 0EC_PCA_3 supports delta and full while 0EC_PCA_4 full load only.I also know there is no content available.So, I have option to go-ahead custom IC & DSO from scratch and mapping from RSOSFIELDMAP

Below are my questions

1) Is there any InfoCube/DSO on BW so that I can have a look its design and copy, moreover, if you have come across same scenario, then could you please provide image/s of your InfoCube and DSO (Data source--> DSo- key fields--->info cube- dimensions)?

2) Which Data Source, do I have to deal first?

3) How to create Data flow for IC and DSO for these DataSources?

4) Is there any settings required in BW system because my system is new?

5) What would be the DSO mode type for the best practice my kind of scenario?

Hi Arshiyan,

Both Datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 0EC_PCA_4 supports the full and delta both. 0EC_PCA_3 is for line items and 0EC_PCA_4 for AR/AP related accounts.

And while creation DSO you need to keep in mind at what granularity you want to keep the data in your DSO eg if you want to keep the data at document number level then keep PCA document number, company code, profit center,cost center,chart of account, gl account,fiscper,fiscal year variant etc.. that in key and remaining fields are in data fields.

In cube you need to keep all the related characteristics in one dimension like Chart of account, profit cetner, cost center etc.. and 0account and 0gl_account in same dimension etc...

You can consider those things and create DSO and infocube.

Hi,

There is no standard dso/cube for those.

1. 0EC_PCA_3 to DSO keys you can refer below doc.

For info cube, you can add the info objects into dim which have 1:! relations. Add info objects into one dim which are similar.

2.  there is no such  which one need to go first. as you need you can start working on them. seems like both are independent.

3. as of now you may created lots ot info cubes/dso, in similar fashion you can create. not sure why you have doubt about this.

4. No settings at bw side. regarding at ecc, you can refer sap help links of those data sources. it might be helpful.

5. check your data source delta type from Roosource table, based on that we can decide.
