About re-generate work schedule(TM)

Hi experts,

I have a question about re-generating work schedule.

My steps:

1. update(no create) holiday calendar(change 1.1 to PH) -- #Request1

2. re-generate work schedule -- #Request2

So, there will be generate two transport requests for the change.

My question is if #Request1 is not be transported to Production Enviroment(only transport #Request2), and the WS can be used normally in Production Enviroment?

Many thanks.

Yu Bo

Hi Bo Yu,

Let you know one thing for Exp you created some configuration like steps 1 2 3 4 5 6 with TR -- 000001 later you will come to know 6 step config is wrong and changed that config with another TR -- 000002.

Then if you will move to this TR -- 000002 into quality which data will store? Nothing will there until you move first TR -- 000001.

I think you got my point if you will think this useful information please close this thicket by clicking correct answer.

Hi Mohan,

I get ur point, but my question is not been answered.

In our DEV environment, we have three clients.

100 -- testing

300 -- configuration

600 -- development

Public holiday is modified in client 600 with transport request '#Request1'.

Work Schedule is re-generated in client 300 with transport request '#Request2'.

In my opinion, SAP only needs to know the final result(WS, not PH).

if i only transport the '#Request2' to production environment, and production environment's WS also can be used nomally.

Please forgive me for my poor enlish, thanks.

Hi Bo Yu,

Yes as you said correct,

If you do some config in PH with TR -- 001.

And again if you will some config in WS with TR --002.

Now just assume that if you will move TR - 002 into quality then system will consider WS config only.

I think you got my point if you will think this useful information please close this thicket by clicking correct answer.

Hi,

Why you required to generate two different TR for those configuration? If you generate two different TR and move only one it might be throws error in PRD. Because those two configurations are inter linked.

Thanks

Hi,

If you have done same steps in both the TR's you may not need to move the TR 1 and instead TR2 will update it as done to Production also.

Just to be safer side do not create 2 TR's for one process or step.
