Configuring IBAN

Hi Experts,

We would like to add IBAN field in PA30. We have done following settings:

Using tcode SM31, for view V_T77S0 set Value abbr as S for ADMIN IBAN.

With this setting we can view IBAN input field in PA30, but when we input any value and update the record we are getting following error message:

"Generation not possible" Message no. BF00016.

How to rectify this error message?
