Bring the Information togehter

Hallo Experts,

today i just have a basic question. We already have an ODS filled with a content DataSource (2LIS_11_VAITM). So know we want to have also the prices to 0doc_number and the items with some more information's. The key files are 0doc_number and item. With a multiprovider it doesen't´t work. So what is the best practice to get the information together if i have two fields a keys some figures (2 in one DataSource and 3 in another DataSource). I already tried to pack both in one ODS (it doesn't work) and i already tried to build an multiprovider (it doesn't work)

Thanks a lot. I am so happy that dies forum exists.

    Hi,

If the sources have the same key they can be combined in ODS. It sounds as if this is not the case, at You mention that Your ODS trial failed?

If they only partially share keys, then you can combine the data using a lookup in the start routine of a second layer ODS.

      Hi,

thanks a lot it works perfect. But i just have another question: Is this also with an InfoCube possible?

      And another question:

How it is possible to load data with a timestamp as attributes for an InfoObject.

      Example:

      I need 0doc_number with item = key

      plus attribute

price per item with dateto and datefrom.

So it would be perfect to have the information 0doc_number plus item and than as attribute the price which is correct for a special day.

Thanks a lot and have a nice weekend

    Hi,

Try to do this with help of Infosets..

An InfoSet describes data sources that are usually defined as joins for ODS objects or InfoObjects (characteristics with master data).

Every ODS object and every InfoObject that is a characteristic with master data can be included in a join. A join can contain objects of the same object type, or objects of different object types. The individual objects can appear in a join any number of times. Join conditions connect the objects in a join to one another (equal join-condition). A join condition determines the combination of records from the individual objects that are included in the resulting set.

Refer this link for creation of infoset
