Hi Kevin,

There is no plans to support IE11 with SP3 or SP3 Patch1. Currently we are planning to test the IE11 soon and official support will be most probably introduced in SP7. (for Win7 & 😎 The SP7 is planned to 1H of 2014.

Hi Jukka,

Is there an update on the Roadmap for IE11 support?  I checked PAM and the compatability list but I do not see any indication as to when IE11 will be supported.

Thanks and Regards,
Travis

Hi Travis,

Tests are still ongoing but the results are looking very promising, so far only one  issue found and that was related to SC. So, at the moment seems like we are going to release official support for Win7&Win8 + IE11(in compatibility mode) combination in service pack 7.

Jukka

Hi Jukka,

Thank you for your response!  It's been a little while since the last update and we are ramping up for  an enterprise deployment of IE11 so we are eager to understand the availablity of SP7 so we can plan accordingly.  I reviewed the available information in PAM and the release note referenced in PAM for Contact Center 7.0 but couldn't find a projected release date for SP7.  http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1569265

Can you comment on the approximate timeframe for when SP7 may be released?

Thank you and regards,
Travis

Hi Travis,

SP 7 was actually released earlier this week and there are lots of exciting improvements.

The full post is here:

Some of the improvements are as follows:

1.  Auto-Updating of Client Components (you no longer have to install the client components ahead of time, they will be updated if required)

2.  Windows 2012 and Microsoft SQL 2012 on now suportted

3.  On client workstations IE Version 11 and Java 8 are also supported.

Check out the release notes and new user guides contained in the discussion above.

We have already implemented and installed SAP 7 at various locations and it is working great!

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Marcus

Hello!

(Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask....  but I'm new to this portal)

Could I ask whether SAP Contact Center (formerly BCM) 7 SP07 has support for R2 versions of Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2012?  Also, the release notes and installation guides for SP07 state Windows 8 and IE 11 support but I can't see anywhere that explicitly states Windows 8.1 (which implies IE11 of course).  Does SP07 include Windows 8.1 support? Is there a simple matrix somewhere showing the supported Windows OS and browser configs for BCM/Contact Center?

Thanks,

Adèle

Hi Adele,

Welcome! In certain cases it is recommended to raise new discussion instead of driving old discussion to different direction. But here we indeed have overlapping question.

In general I can confirm that the testing focus is in Win Server 2012 R2 + SQL server 2012 SP2 combination. The support is officially from SP7 onwords. SQL Server 2014 is not yet supported.

With the client the case is that the Win8.1 is not yet tested by us.I cannot remember if this all can be found from a matrix but I will take it to my worklist.

I really appreciate the quick response Jukka.

I had thought that the 8* had referred to the footnote about 'Windows 8 limitations' referenced in the client guide rather than meaning 'any version of Windows 8'.

Just for clarity:  Windows 8.1 is therefore supported?

Hello Kevin

The official answer is - NO. Internet Explorer 11 is not supported, at least for BCM. The latest supported version of Internet Explorer currently is 10th (32-bit) under Windows 7 (32 or 64 –bit).

By latest SAP BCM documentation supported operating systems and browsers are:

- Windows XP Professional with default or classic themes and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0

- Windows Vista and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0

- Windows 7 32 or 64 –bit with 32-bit Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or 9.0 or Internet Explorer 10 with the familiar user experience (not with the new Windows UI).

Best Regards,

Alex
