Hi SAP PSM Gurus,

I am new to PSM and we are implementing SAP PSM for a non-profit organisation.

For implementing SAP GM is it really required to integration GM with FM?

Request your expert opinion in understand when and where we should go for Integration and if there is anything that need to be taken care if GM is not integrated with FM.

Thanks,

Srikanth

Master data level integration is required by GM with FM-BCS. Whether you want budget entered in GM to appear in FM is optional. It depends on whether the customer wants to have visibility of GM budget as another funding source in FM. Please note that in case of integrated scenarios it is better to do budget availability checking for grants in GM and not in FM.

Thanks

Hi Shyam,

Thank you for the reply..

From your reply I understand that this is 'OPTIONAL'. Is my understanding correct?

Can you please explain with a business scenario, if possible.

Advance thanks for the help.

You can deactivate integration to FM at the Company Code level. You may still need to enter an external fund when you create a grant. You can also deactivate budget transfer to funds management at the grant type level. This is optional.

Thanks

Shyam
