Dashboards on Mobile/ IPAD

Dear all,

Currently i am working on BO 4.0 Support pack 6 ie Version 14.0.6.1036 and now i have to design few dashboards which i need to show it on mobile or ipad. Request you to please give me some details for following queries.

1) Which of the components supported by the BO 4.0 Support pack 6 on mobile?

2) Is OLAP Connection ie BICS Connection will supportded by BO 4.0 Support pack 6 on mobile?

3) Which of the mobiles/IPAD supported for this functinality ?

4) What kind of setting we need to do at moblile level as well as server level?

5) How the Authentication will work like if i use Enterprize aunthentication and not the SAP authentication?

However, briefly

1) Which of the components supported by the BO 4.0 Support pack 6 on mobile? - You can get a list by fiilterting the component list to Mobile Only in the Component Browser

2) Is OLAP Connection ie BICS Connection will supportded by BO 4.0 Support pack 6 on mobile? - Query Browser, (4.1 onwards QwaaS and Flash variables) are the only available connections

3) Which of the mobiles/IPAD supported for this functinality ? - Apple iPad. Android tablet is supported 4.1 onwards

4) What kind of setting we need to do at moblile level as well as server level? - You need to install the SAP BI App

5) How the Authentication will work like if i use Enterprize aunthentication and not the SAP authentication? - It will use the BO authentication

I have implemented the same i.e SAP Dashboards(Xcelsius) on Ipad.Please go through the document below , it consists all the steps to be taken for the same.

I'll briefly answer your questions here, but please see the guide for more info.

2. Yes

3. All iPads (including mini) except iPad 1 and must have iOS 6 or higher.

4. You need to deploy 2 warfiles, MobiServer and MobileBIService. In SP6 these are automatically deployed during installation if you selected the Mobile component. On the iPad you need the SAP BI app from the Apple app store

5. Enterprise auth works the same way as it would in BI Launchpad. You can assign SAP alias to the Enterprise user

You can check all the supported component in the mobile panel of dashboard.. Check the release document to get all the details

BICS is suppoted in BI 4 SP6

Only Ipad supported no mobile is supported (iphone/android) Android tablets with > 7 inch screen supported with Bi 4.1

I have read one manual link pasted below for BO 4.O Support Pack 6.

in this manual they have mention like device types

SAP BusinessObjects Mobile is not guaranteed to work on all mobile devices and operating systems. For a list of

supported devices and operating systems, see: http://service.sap.com/bosap-support in this link they have mentioned like few android devices as well so bit confuse about whether BO 4.O Support Pack 6 supports Android Devices or not please help.

dashboard is only supported with BI 4.1 in tablets more than 7 inch screen.

so with 4.0 sp6 dashboard not supported in android.
