COPA report capturing line item as unassigned

Hi,

I am trying to view sales organization wise and sale order wise profitability through the COPA report.

And as a part of the same,I have tried to capture the revenue items from the SD condition type and FI direct postings through the FI PA transafer structure into COPA.

I have tried to test the report, first I have tried to bill the sale order and hence was able to get the revenue item in COPA report both at Sale order wise and Sales organisation wise.

But, When I tried to post expense in FI through F-02 tcode using the CO object Sale order, then that particular expenses is getting captured in the COPA report at Sale order wise and if I see the COPA report Sales Organisation wise, then this expense posting is coming as a separate line item as an unassigned item.

When revenue got generated from Sale order (since the sales organization is mentioned in sale order), COPA report showed it at sale orderwise and sales organisation wise profitability report, the same when I try through the FI direct posting with sale order co object, why is it that the expense is not getting captured at sales organization level.

Kindly help me in understanding the logic behind this and away to resolve the same.
