Activity 24 'Updating of Retained Earnings Merger'

Dear colleagues,

I am currently working on a vertical merger in BCS (EHP5).

I have read the SAP documentation, but I still have an issue on the absorbing company side.

The SAP documentation says:

When you enter the equity for subsequent consolidation of the absorbing company, you can use activity 24Updating of Retained Earnings Merger. You record the update of retained earnings that you report for this activity in the special Net Income for Merger item and not in the Clearing - Balance Sheet item.

I have recorded an increase of Equity in the absorbing company (on the Net Income for Merger item) using Activity 24 but the system doesn't trigger any corresponding activity in the COI...

Does anyone have already experienced this?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,

Thibaud

    Salut thibaud,

As tu sélectionné la zone ' Divestiture Accounting due to merger' pour la société absorbé?

et renseigner le compte pour le compte de résultat du fusion ?

    A+

    • Hi Bastien,

      Thanks for your message.

My customizing was correct. But in my case, the absorbing company was the Parent of the Group: in that case the system doesn't generate any elimination of this Equity (which is correct), but I expected at least a log in the COI... SAP told me they will probably update the online help (let's see).

      Cheers,

      Thibaud
