My proposal to client is as below, Please suggest me if anything is incorrect (or) suggest the best method.
assume MM-IM system has 1000 materials and stock
1) Extend the Materials to WM Views
2) Create new org structure (new Plant, new Storage Location, new Warehouse Number..... etc)
3) Copy tables/data from MM-IM system to WM
Thanks for all your guidance!

Hi Sreenivasulu,
You are going into right direction but there is a slight differerence
1) Create new org structure (new Plant, new Storage Location, new Warehouse Number..... etc) / or you can creare a new storage location under the same plant and assign the warehouse to the plant _ new storage location
2) Complete all the WM related customization (http://www.sapfunctional.com/WM/Configuration/Index.htm)
or you can creare a new storage location under the same plant and assign the warehouse to the plant _ new storage location
3) Complete all the RF related setting, if you are planning to use that
4) Extend the material to WM views
5) Upload the stock into the plant + new sloc
Few more thing which you need to take care is Whether they are plannign to use the HU or SU in the warehouse, Is there any custom development is required to fullfil the business requirement
Above is a gist. once you will start u will get lot of query/ question.

Manish
