Hi guys,

When running Managed System Configuration, Extractors Setup fails stating No RFC for SID SPS, nevertheless, In SM59, such RFC does exists

Any idea how to troubleshoot this error?

Thanks!

Hello

There is no IP address / Host name and the system number mentioned in the RFC.

Modify the RFC with the IP address / Host name and the system number and check whether that helps.

Hi guys,

SPS RFC being empty or with server parameterers does not affect the behaviour. I ran extractors setup after modifying RFC entries and same result

It stated SPS RFC could not be retrieved.

I know RFC being empty is not an issue since its again system itself and on another Solution manager it also have its own RFC Destination empty, but in this case Extractor Setup ran fine.

I have also reviewed RFC Destinations under Connect Managed Systems and they look in green status

Still looking forward what is missing

It was an authorization error with user SMD_RFC, it had all roles defined by Create User Step but it was unable to look up for RFC Destination

After assigning further authorizations it ran fine.

Thanks for the help,

Hi Martin,

What are those "further authorisations"?

Hi Martin,

What are those "further authorisations"? It would be nice if you could send me the "further authorisations" needed for user SMD_RFC.

Thanks and best Regards

Carsten

Hi Carlsten,

It was an older Solution Manager 7.1 Release, i belive in that moment i added further roles with RFC authorizations and it worked. I dont have access to that system right now to check it out.

Are you experiencing the same error in that step?

Hello Martin,

Why in rfc connection isn't mentioned hostname and isntance number ?

Please check solman_setup for managed system SPS step 3 'connect managed system'.
