Best Sap Module to learn is ABAP as you are a java developer you are having good knowledge of Coding, it is easy to learn .

If you are not interested in Coding Part you can Prefer either BO/HANA. Here need to have  SQL Knowledge .

Many online books are available  For abap related info.

Hi Naveen,

For ABAP no need domain experience .So that you can study ABAP.

If you want migrate other functional module, you have to work for few years in related domain module in SAP.

Now you can go for ABAP or you can go for other functional module.

Thank you

Mahendran.

Dear suresh,

since you already have a knowledge in coding ,  i w'd suggest you to go for ABAP .

you are a mechanical engineer by profession so you can also learn SAP MM/PM modules sideways.

by doing this you will become a TECHNO-FUNCTIONAL consultant in SAP world.

Hi Suresh,

As you programmer you can start your SAP journey with ABAP. If you don't like for Programming you can support for modules. Each of module details you could see in before replies.

Both of types (Programming or Module consulting) you could earn more.

Hi Aluru,

As your are programmer,

i)  if you still interested in Programming then you can go  for SAP ABAP. Its useful a lot for your carrier.

ii) If you are interested in Administration then go for BASIS.

iii) If you are interested in Function modules, then go for SD,MM,FI, HR.........

iv)If you are interested in data ware housing, Then go for BW.

v) If you are interested in Reporting, then go for BO.

vi)If you are interest in New technology in SAP then go for HANA with BO or BW. you need SQL.

As every body suggest i hope you can go for ABAP.
