Report Painter (GRR2): GL Account Translation not showm in report lines

Hi All,

I have set up report painter reports in English.

A) The Report Painter report itself is also translated in chinese "ZH". In case somebody logs in in with language key "ZH" the report structure (columns, lines, etc. ) is shown in chinese. That is fine.

B) ISSUE: in the report painter lines the "explode" functionality is activated, i.e. the GL accounts are shown in the report. In case we log in with language key "ZH" some GL accounts are shown in Chinese but however some still in English.

How to ensure, that all accounts are shown in Chinese?

PLEASE NOTE:

1) All GL accounts are maintained in the languages "EN" and "ZH", i.e. if I go in table SKAT I see there by account two lagguage keys including correctly maintained short and long text descriptions in English and in Chinese

2) I guess GRRT will not help here, as the report structure itself is fine. Only the GL account descriptions look odd :-(

3) The reports impacted are based on table table "GLFUNCT" = special ledger

Kind regards

Zarko

    • Hi All,

the issue as to this case was a mis-understanding from my side. My assumption was originally that all GL lines texts in my FI-SL report painter report are populated out of the table SKAT = GL account text.

I have just learned that the text for accounts which are also cost elements is not taken out of the table SKAT but out of CSKV = Cost Element Text in FI-SL.

The solution is basically to log in with language key "ZH" and to adapt all cost element text in chinese or manually ir with LSMW ...

... or translate the cost elements (Text of Cost Elements are
stored in table CSKU) via transaction SU63 as described in the Note 106980.

Alternatively you could also use Report ZKA_KSTAR_TEXTS
from the Note 634887 to take over Texts from the Table SKAT (G/L Accounts:
      Description)

      Cheers
