Business Area Concept, Pros & Cons ??

Hi SAP,

I am in EHP 7 Implementation and my client is insisting to use the concept of business area. As per my understanding, FI-BA was never popular in SAP implementations. With more requests coming from customers and increased regulatory requirements on reporting, SAP decided to make a choice about which approach to develop further. The decision was made to pursue the PCA approach as per SAP Note 321190, which was released in 2002, to do no further development for business areas, and to focus future development on profit centers, although FI-BA would continue to be supported. The rationale behind this decision was that EC-PCA had significantly better functionality than FI-BA.

Kindly give your valuable points regarding this. Is there is a chance that SAP withdraw this option in the coming releases ?

Also, any integration point of Business Area with FM Module..
