Unable to Modify Extract Structure MC17I3OPER

Hi Experts,

I am currently trying to modify LO Extract Structure, MC17I3OPER (Extraction PM-BW: Order Process),that is already delta initialised to populate 3 InfoCubes in production environment.

Now, <b>Actual Start</b> and <b>End date</b> must be added to meet new reporting requirement and I could add both fields available in Comm structure in LO Data Extraction: Customizing Cockpit.

However, following message is displayed when I save modified extract structure in Dev.

"<i>Entries for application 17 still exist in the extraction queue ->

Message no. MCEX151

Diagnosis

Changing extraction structure MC17I30OPR for application 17 is forbidden, because there are entries that have not yet been processed into an extraction queue for application 17 for at least one client.

If an extraction structure is changed to the entries that are still open in an extraction queue, then these are no longer able to be read and can cause terminations with the collective update</i>."

Current Update Mode is set as 'Direct Delta' and I have already loaded all delta records in BW.

i.e. zero record found in RSA7.

I believe direct delta supposes to capture all entries real time. Hence there shouldn't be any entries not reached extraction queue yet.

Am I missing anything here?

Your advice will be much appreciated.

    Hi Steve,

first of all check in all your clients (since reconstruction tables and extraction queues are client-specific objects; that means, specifically, that entries are no longer visible in one client but can exist in another client).

Anyway, direct delta gives the possibility to have all delta records without a collective job (V3 scheduled in LBWE), but you need to close the system or the delta update to avoid that during your BW extraction system collects other delta records in the meanwhile !

    Hope it helps!

    Bye,

    Roberto

      Steve,

if you are doing this enhancement in your development environment, delete the queue and reinit it since I don't think this can be an issue...for your production system, before importing the request you have to CLOSE your system and only after you have to upload in BW the queue and import the CR...in this way you shouldn't need to do a reinit !

      Hope it helps!

      Bye,

      Roberto

    Hi Steven,

If hope you have to delete the entries in the datatarget before modifying the extract structure because even if the system allow you to load the data also how do you fill up the data(newly added fields) for the prevous loaded data in the datatarget...thats why you are getting the message...please wait for the experts feedback on your queries and go ahead.

    thanks,
