While creating Inspection Plan in QP01, creation date will get updated in change date as well. Further changes will get updated accordingly as per the exact change date.

This could be to track the change logs with reference to single field i.e., changed on date.

hi rahul,

Its a standard behaviour of the system

there are 2 fields created on & Changed on, for the first time ie., QP01 creation system will automatically update the created on date and on changed on also (here system will consider the created date as a changed date) and it gets filled - it seems nothing harm.

but when you change anything in th Qplan using QP02, system is keep on changing the changed on date.....

thanks

Hi Rahul,

As you are creating this plan today, so it having 16.12.13 in created date. By the time you save your inspection plan, details related to operations, task lists, material assignment, MICs etc results in changed on date.

Save it. Make a change tomorrow, and you will see created on 16 and changed on 17.

Hi,

yes Its Correct..

But My question is that While Creating Inspection Plan, why system is Updating both fields i.e. Created on & Changed on, even I don't change any ?

Because SAP programmed it to update both fields when a plan is created.

You are correct.  Technically speaking, if you simply create the plan, then the Changed On field should be null and display 00/00/0000 or --/--/-----.

But it doesn't.

Is there a particular problem with that?  My guess is maybe you are looking at the Changed On field for some type of development?  Since there is no Change Time along with the Changed On field or created on field, you can't really use the Changed on field to select all plans that had a change since a given date.  You could create the plan in the beginning of the day and make several changes throughout the day that would not really be reflected in the Changed On field since the value would never change from the creation date.
