Supplying plant field selection in PR

Dear All,

i need to make the supplying plant field as an optional field with item category U and document type NB.

any ideas.

Hi,

   Go to SE16 and enter the table T162 and maintain the field selection for the field selection key PT7B as shown below:

Mainly check FAUS3.

   Did you check the field selection key AKTH also in the path:OLME -  Purchase Requisition - Define Screen Layout at Document Level.?

   Please check the same for the field selection keys PT7B & ME51N

Hi,

For ME51N, it is by default the Supplying plant field is Optional, then i changed in PT7B, the Supplying plant as Optional. Then it is working fine with ME51, but not in ME51N

   For AKTH, you can maintain it in config level in the path: OLME -  Purchase Requisition - Define Screen Layout at Document Level.

Unfortunately, I donno it is going for dump when i try to select AKTH and the program is getting terminated. But i could able to see or modify the details in ME51N and PT7B. But when I click select AKTH and click on details, program is getting terminated and is going for dump.

Yes, if you change the settings in Field selection group PT7B to Optional, It works. But it works with ME51 but not ME51N.

Hi, If your are selecting the Item category as U , then you need to enter the supplying source for which you want to create the STO PR.

That is not a business logic.

If you are using item category U, then the supplying plant have to be entered.

Its a mandatory field.

but this special case and asked by my customer the supplying plant will be determined during the creation of the PO

   Only difference could be that I'm in ME51.

I hope you have to maintain the supplying plant in the case of item category U in PR.

Put the supplying plant as a initial.

Then when you make the PO from PR, then you can change the Supplying plant in PO.

  Go to OLME -  Purchase Requisition - Define Screen Layout at Document Level. Here select the Field selection group PT7B and go to details. Here, you can maintain the field selection as optional entry as shown below:
