How to reduce the size of table UCL2040 in SEM 5.0 (on NW 7.0 ABAP stack)?

Hi Sunil

Please explain in-detail about your thread and purpose to reduce size.

As per my understanding reduce means delete some logs from the table.  If that is right, please refer SAP OSS Note : 1011322 which might helpful.

Rajesh is right, you may delete via transaction UCWB. However, in my experience, forget that. Way too slow. No mass delete possible. And delete takes pretty long.

My proposal:

Write small ABAP. Either copy to a backup table or delete completely certain time periods/versions. Needs to be discussed with Business. Have seen more than one customer where that very table is biggest table within a BW installation!
