Hi ,
Plz Guide me About Maintenance Notification Work Flow
Is it Possible in workflow that mail Should Trigger to whole Department ( Mech, Electrical) on creation of Notification
Not to Single Person( Not required by User)
There are many ways.
Are you using any Partner Function?? If you have HR module implemented, then department group mail id can be created. You can assign that mail id to that department manager & that person can be mentioned as Person Responsible. So that, system will send the mail to all people in that department.
Else, using partner function, you can mention the department responsible in notification by having HR module, through development, all persons mail id can be read using the department assigned in HR master data.
Else, from user master data, you can make this to happen.
So, please discuss with your HR/Basis/ABAP consultants on this.

Hi,
I am asking above only for information to be given to department associated with Equipment maintenance
Sometime Dependency is there from other departments like Mech , Elect,
if workflow is to be started how to communicate to Multiple work center (Mech, Elect. ) or
planer groups through notification work flow.
Consider
Planner Group ( Sender ) Always Single in Notification.
Work Center ( Receiver) Can be Multiple
Therefore i was asking is there any possibility to add single field in above screen.
please guide.
Thank U
Hi Ashu,
Same Requirement we had in QM requirement , we achieved through the following steps.
While creating Notification (PM notification) after saving the notification
Go to Action box
1) Create one function module (with the help of Abaper) with default message content
2) Create Internal table with following inputs notification type, Code /Code group , user ids, email ids etc.,
3) When ever you click the action box , the system should check the notification type, code , code group . if it satisfies then the mail should be sent to the mail ids/user ids available in the internal table
Why we need to create Internal Tables ? in future there may be addition or deletion of mail ids, User ids, at that time , we need to update those thing in the internal table so that addition and deletion of user ids possible
so you can acheive your requirement by the above procedure
Reply me in case of any query
Thanks for your understanding
Thanks

Hi Ashu,
Why cant you go for workflow for notification , so that you can assign the mail id of the planner group which belongs to Mech and Elec rather going to Patner function.

Hi Ashu,
Maintain one Z Table and keep all the mail ids which are related to the Planner group. Once the Notification is created then automatically through work flow it will hit the main component and the mails will be going to the person which are maintained in the z table.
Take the help of technical resource so that your work will become easy.
