Location of KM File on Portal Server

Hi All,

Does anyone know where KM files are stored on the Portal Server?  And are they saved with the name I give them in KM in the portal, or does the system give them a new name?

I have upolad the data through Portal Drive.

Hi,

There are different ways to create KM repository; some of them are database, FSDB, DBFS, file system.

If you select file system in the repository, then the files can be obtained directly in the location. If you use FSDB or DBFS, then you can check the location where files are available.

But if you used database, then there is no way to find the files in any location (e.g. in any folder). It is directly stored in database.

Hi,

the storage location depends on your configuration. In portal KM you have several so called Repositories and each can have an own location for the storage of the file. Technically there are Repository Manager responsible for the storage of the files.

One of the main Reposiories is the CM repository. It can be configured to store the files in the server file system or in the underlaying DB of the SAP Portal Server. The storage location of the files can be checked in the Parameters of a CM Repository Manager.

But the configuration area of Portal KM is not very easy.
