Hi All,
I want to use the fixed and variable prices fed in KP26 and create a marginal cost analysis with sales revenue and variable activity cost in COPA.
the current Cost component structure uses both fixed + variable. I do not want to disturb the current CCS.
Need suggestion/best practice as to whether i should use another valuation eg commercial inventory/tax inventory or should i use auxiliary cost component.
is there any other easier way to do this.

Hi
When the Cost components are updated to COPA during actual invoicing, you can choose to update the fixed and variable cost portions for each cost component in Separate value field in KE4R... That way, you can achieve what you want

Hi
Like i said

my question is
what is the best way forward.
do i create an auxiilary cost component or do i use something like commercial valuation/tax valuation and have the variable cost included there in.
is there any other way to do this. (given that the current cost component has fixed+ variable assigned to the activity type and captures both fixed and variable cost. I cannot bifercate using the current Cost component strucutre
(i do not want to create new activity types)
Pl suggest an end to end answer about how i can meet this requirement.

How do i bifercate between fixed and variable cost when the cost componenet has the fixed + variable radio button selected and merges the fixed and variable costs.

Hi..
Labor cost component have Fixed and variable costs as below picture.
We create two value fields for Fixed and variable costs of labor cost component.
We assign the Fixed and variable costs to each value field using t-code KE4R as below picture.
Example: Valuation Using Material Cost Estimates - Profitability Analysis (COPA) - SAP Library
