BO4 - web.xml session timeout is this of inactiviy or session itself

Hi,

Could someone please confirm eaxctly what the session timeout property of the web.xml is.

Does it mean that after 20 minutes (or whatever value set to) of inactivity the session is timed out or does it mean that session automatically kicked out/terminated after n minutes?

Hello,

Thsi means that the web session will expire after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Can I get you to double check if the 30 mins is genuine inactivity i.e no reports running just the session ‘open’, or will it kill the session even if has a report running?

it is for session inactivity.

Ex: User has logged in to BO launchpad and refreshed the report. later he didnt logoff/close the browser. session will expire in 20 Min ( which is default session time out)
