Hi All,

I have recently noticed Mr.Kamal Ravirekula point been reduce almost 100 point . He was  Before 567 now within week some one removed him point in SCN and some of the users got around ten likes what ever he posted in SCN discussion forum.

How come this one as possible ?

Also specifically that ten likes given by same ten members in all the places discussion area in SCN.

I want to confirm whether this one as true or not ? anybody give moderator's mail id ?

The points system is based on a logic. The points earned my members in the last 12 months alone will be updated in the board however those points will be reflected in their lifetime points. As Edward stated, i too have noticed such practices in the forum just to boost their ratings. The moderator needs to take care of this issues.I believe Kamal is a Topic leader and he must be aware of his ratings in the board. Im not sure who is the moderator.  The community will address this, i believe.

Dear all

I believe Kamal should be a really lucky guy as you support him in such a way. I totally agree on the fact that Kamal is a "topic" leade in EHS; I am sorry to say that he seems not to have the time any more to go on with his work; he is acting actually only rarely in this FORUM.

Understanding the topics of" to gain points" and to "loose" them is not easy. Roughly one year ago Kamal exceeded my number of points gaied so far. And Gratulation on that. Welldone ! Some days later a "new counting" philosophy was introduced and Kamal "lost" his position (to a certain extent) in "leadership".

I hope that based on your encouragement Kamal will go on with his very good work.

Regarding the points about Mr.Ravirerukula, or who ever in the leaderboard, the points displayed are "12 months" point. That is the point he scored in last 365 days. So everyday it keep on changing. Eg.

Your points from, say, December 13, 2012 to December 12, 2013 is 100.

On the day of December 13, 2012 you had scored 10 points.

On December 13, 2013 you haven't scored any points. Then your 12-month points on December 13, 2013 will be reduced to 90.

This is to increase the participation of the community members actively in discussions. (My guess as per their point scale logic).

That's why we are having different scale of measure.

The points you score in any forum will be reflected in "Expertise" area under the "reputation" tab of your profile screen.

There you can find your overall points scored in any forum.(forum-wise points).

And your overall points scored right from the day you started scoring is reflected as "life time points" .

For leader board calculation, the points scored in the last 12 month period in that particular forum is calculated !

"SCN" Will never remove your point in leader ship board. However, Do you have any idea to get moderator's mail id ?

I just want to get clarify these things.

Hi !

The 12 month leader board is a "Rolling Leader Board". ie, its dynamic one !.

For that, it calculates the points scored on last 12 months period only, as I said (I cross verified in SCN too !). That is different from Life time points.

You can see it the case of Kamal Ravireukula itself.

Check for his life time points ! Its not changed at all ! You see changes in his points tally in 12-month leader board. But if you go and see his expertise page and look for the points he scored in EHS space, it will be different.

Hi !

Earlier i replied like this, "I was wrong. For the leader board, the points are calculated from Jan 1 to Dec 31." after noticing the change in points. Then I believed the leader board shows the points earned in every 12 months starting from January.

But now its understood that, its a 'bug'.

As I stated earlier, the points one earned in the last 12 month are calculated for leader board ! Now the leader board has been reset.
