How to upgrade PO Server without Solution Manager?

Hi, all,

I've heard that it is very difficult to upgrade a netweaver server without solution mananger, such as downloading all needed files and patching them onto server. Is there any advice or guideline to handle this task when doing a test or POC?

manually download all the files and use JSPM to do the upgrade

i have done this for my personal BPM server.

Thanks Jun, but it's real a hard wor and need to download hunders of files, and JSPM is not supported for netweaver 7.4.  Do you have a quick guide of SUM about upgrading netweaver?

not that hard,  just a few button click

My bpm is on nw 7.31, don't know jspm is not available in 7.4

you are from sap, just do an intranet search, you can find tons of material for sum.....
