EWA is not generating

Dear Experts,

We have ECC 6.0 EHP4 with SOLMAN 7.0, the EWA report is generating for DEV and PRD systems however it is not generating for QAS.

we have activated SDCCN and refersh session in QAS. Back RFC is working fine. we are getting "SAP EarlyWatch Alert for Solutions" but there is no EWA at all. when we tried to generate EWA manually, there is no option for EWA service to create as below,

when we select "setup EWA" there is no details for QAS other than solution landscape name as below,

could anyone please help us to sort it out?

Thanks a lot!

Hello Pradeep,

Check 1:

go to SMSY transaction, select the logical component where the system is assignend, and in the overview page wher you can see a line of your rols systems ( dev, test, productive, etc...) there you can see if the system is in green color or not. if not "Right Click" on the system name in that roles line and on the popup select "Put In Solution".

Check 2:

If SDCCN can collect the data, you can see inside SDCCN a ewa task, if you can't maybe the problems is one of the next options:

- the installation number is not the same in solman thant on managed system.

- the system number has changed recently.

- on SLICENSE, the license is not up-to-date.

hope that can help you, if not go to solman scn forums and post there your question, that's really usually on solman and sure that some contributor can help you quick.

Regards,

Luis

Thanks a lot Juan and Lluis!,

After added in the solution we can create the EWA however we are facing DLD_SQL_STMTS_ORA : Time limit exceeded error (Dates are this session was overdue) in the report. we have run the refersh session in the SDCCN however it is still persisting.

What could be the problem?

Thanks a lot!

Predeep

Hello Pradeep, the best options to solve that is to reconfigure SDCCN again, deactivate SDCCN and activate it again. but you can try to create a new task named "deleted old session data" and/or "update session definitions" ( more o lees, i can't open any SDCCN noe to see the correct name but one is "delete" and another is refresh session data ).

Remember before that to run report RTCCTOOL to check if the managed system has all the correct Support addons (ST-PI/ST-A/PI), and sap corrections,

Try that and tell me something,

Regards,

Luis

Have you added your QAS system to the same solution where the rest of the systems in that landscape are?

Hi,

Please run RTCCTOOL in SE38 and install the required patches/add-ons on the Solman system.

Thanks
