Missing Recruitment Configuration

Dear Experts,

     I have configured the basic steps in Recruitment module.

    The steps are

    

     Creating Number ranges(Internal),Media, Recruitment Instruments,Personnel Officer,Applicant Groups, Applicant Ranges,Unsolicited Applicant groups,Applicant Selection(Status), Status Reason, Applicant Class,etc

     Created one advertisement for the vacant position

    

     Then we run the Applicant Action(PB40) from "Initial Data Entry of Applicant" through "Prepare for Hiring".Also process the new applicant with the subsequent statuses from "In process" to "To be Hired".

     After running the action "Prepare for Hiring",we run the T-Code PBA7 to transfer the applicant data to PA. Also, we run the T-Code PBA8 to complete the Applicant activities .But still the applicant data such as Action data ,organization assignment data ,previous employer data, Personal data ,Education and Qualification data from PB30 are not reflecting in the employee master PA30.

     Instead ,the personnel number has been triggered automatically without any of that applicant data, in PA30.

     Please tell us where have we gone wrong.

Hi,

I assume that the issue is where the settings you are maintained in the PB30 transaction in the sense the set of info types maintained in recruitment module is not getting reflected in PA30 transaction.

While transferring the data from Recruitment module to Personnel administration through PBA7 transaction please check what action type you are selecting in the Action for hiring field.

Please check the settings for that  action type in the table T529A and also the corresponding info group attached with that action.

After getting the infogroup then check the info types in the infogroup in the table V_T588D and i guess here you must add all the infotypes to be transferred from Recruitment to Personnel administration module.

I think this will solve your issue.

Dear Mithun,

    I have checked the Applicant Action Settings. I have maintained the entries in both the table T529A and V_t588d.

     When I transfer the data from PA40 with the option ticked "repeat" after PA40 execution. All the applicant data are stored in the PA infotypes one by one as maintained in the table V_T588d.

But when I check the position in PPOM_OLD,I am not getting the person assigned for that position transferred from Recruitment. Please find the attachment of same

It shows as only "Holder" rather than showing the Employee name for the position senior Manager.

Hi Praveen ,

Its nice to here that all the data from Recruitment module is getting reflected in P.A. The above screen shot which you have pasted  to display the name of the employee please check whether you have maintained the name of the employee in infotype 0002 (First name and Last Name).

Please find the sample screen shot as shown below,

Also if you dont want to display the Relationship text /Key etc you can control through the menu option as shown below,

Hope this solves your issue and do close the thread if your issue is solved.

Dear Mithun,

Thanks for your reply..

   We have maintained the employee first name and last name in IT0002. Also we tried options in the "View" menu(Abbreviation On). Still the employee name is not visible. It shows only relationship as Holder under that position.


We have deleted that employee and hire the new one. But still the result are same.


Any other solution will be appreciated....

Dear Praveen,

I think the name should get displayed as this is standard transaction which refers to 0002 infotype for the PERNR and displays the name.

Okay let me tell you the steps to be followed while transfer,

1. Enter PBA7 or PA40 transaction code and select the appropriate Applicant number and action type and execute the transaction.

2. Make sure the required data is been transferred  such as 0001,0002,0006 etc...save all the infotypes.

3. Check in 0002 infotype whether First name and Last name is maintained.

Also please paste the 0002 infotype & PPOM_OLD screenshot if you are still facing the issue.

Dear Mithun,

    I have transferred the data from PA40. When I run the Action of " Hire Applicant "It show me the dialog box as below

                                                                 

I Check the "Repeat" and transfer the data. Once the transfer starts ,it go thru the infotype one by one with the detail transferred from Recruitment and saved .Also the IT0002 has displayed while transfer with first and last name & saved.

Hi Praveen,

Dont delete and repeat the action for the personnel number again and again and i don't see the initial dialog box which appears in the previous message.

Please paste the same and its not advisable to check mark the Repeat check box while initial transfer it should be used only in case if any error in import and if you want to repeat the transfer.

Dear Mithun,

    This is the first image in the previous post.

                                          

We have tried with all the possibilities and tried transfer from PBA7 .It is transferred and saved all the infotypes in PA.   But still the same result. We are not getting the employee name in PPOM_OLD.

Also When assigning Holder of that position manually in PPOM_OLD

I am getting the error message of "Personnel Number 00100021 does not exist". Find below the screenshot of same.

                        

Please help in this issue.

Hi Praveen,

Why are you selecting the repeat option while you are transferring the data for first time from Recruitment to P.A and after after transferring the data please check in PA30 whether you are able to see the employee number and data which you have transferred.

I see to that there are some problems in data transfer action to P.A. And also before moving the data to  P.A  make sure that there are planned activities(Hiring date,Transfer data(Reference activity)) for the applicant number and also the applicant is having the overall status as 2.

Also dont assign the holder manually as it is not advisable i see to that already employee no is 100021 is attached with the position.

Dear Mithun,

    Thanks for the Swift reply.

    This time I actually transferred through Recruitment(PBA7) without selecting repeat option, not from PA(PA40) . After transferring the applicant data from PBA7 in to PA, I can able to see all the information in PA infotypes(0001,0002,0006,etc) saved.

I have checked the Planned activities . Before transfer I have seen the Planned activities of "Hiring Date & Transfer Data" in planned activities. After transferring the data from PBA7 ,I changed both planned activities in to completed activities in PB60.

Please correct the steps I have done ,if its wrong...

Hi Praveen,

I think you have followed the steps correctly i hope after entering the applicant number and the action type in PBA7 screen when you execute hope you get the actions infotype screen and then the subsequent infotype 0001,0002,0006 etc which you save them and finally  check the data in PA30 also.

In case if you are correctly transferring the data from Recruitment to P.A then i am sure the name will populate in PPOM_OLD /PPOME t.code. Also check for the preview period in the PPOME,PPOM_OLD t.codes.

Dear Mithun,

The steps and infotypes screen are correct as you mentioned in the previous reply. Also checked the Infotypes in PA30, Its all saved as per the applicant data. Find below the screenshot of some infotypes .

The Number ranges are internal and generated the personnel number 100021 by system.

Also the object period is not showing in PPOM_OLD against the Holder. Find below the screen shot of the same.

Hi Praveen,

Whatever screen shots you have pasted is correct and only thing which i didn't find here is the 0001 infotype and whether its included in infogroup and also whether the vacancy delimition pop-up comes while saving the 0001 infotype.

Also the transfer steps followed is fine and now please check the PA-O.M integration here.Also check the PP01 transaction whether against the position which you have hired an employee the relationship A 008 exist and whether name is populating there are not.

Hope this solves the issue.

Dear Mithun,

   The infotype 0001 is defined in the Infogroup. Please find below the screen shot of same.

Please suggest what to define in the Operation column in the infogroup. I have defined it as COP(Copy).

Also the Vacancy delimitation pop has came while saving the infotype 0001

The integration switch is active(PLOGI ORGA).

In PP01 the relationship and the position assignment are correct. Find below the screen shot of same.

Dear Praneeth,

    I have changed the operation column to INS(Create). Then I run the PB40 Prepare for hiring action and try to transfer the data by checking the repeat checkbox in PA40, But I get the error message of "No/Incomplete 'Transfer applicant data' activity for applicant number 00100008"

I have deleted the "Hiring date" and "Transfer Data" activities in PB60 before running the Applicant Action in PB40. When I run the Prepare for Hiring action ,the "Hiring date" and "Transfer Data" activities will display in Planned Activities in PB60 as per standard process.

Kindly help in this issue..

create new applicant and try the process once again from the first on wards.

Dear Mithun and Praneeth,

      Thank you very much for your guidance. The issue has been resolved by self.

Solution:

In table T529A, I have given the Employment Status column as 1 against action type. I changed the status to "3" . Its Solves the Issue.Find below the screen shot of same.
