Kernel Upgrade 720

Dear Experts.

I have upgraded kernel 720 with patch 500.

disp+work output is showing latest kernel patch level, during startup D.B Started but SAP was not starting.

Below error:

Starting Startup Agent sapstartsrv

Unknown webmethod: WaitforServiceStarted

Startup of Instance Service failed

As per the sapnote: we have 1636252, i have done the below steps.

Kill -2 <process id> startsapsrv

cleanipc <instance no.> remove

Exicuted the below comand:

sapcontrol -nr <00> -function Start

Aftre this is started the started SAP and now its up and running.

Now my question is:

1) r3trans -d is encountering error (please suggest so that the issue can be resolved).

2) While exicuting the transactions system is compiling, so do i need to run SGEN to overcome compiling issue.
