Short Text Field Disabled in Me21N

Dear Gurus ,

Sometime ago I have disabled short text field (ME21N), and now I have to enable this filed. I forgotten the configuration steps.

Kindly guide me how to enable Short Text Field if it is disabled.

Hi Javed,

The below is the path..

SPRO → Materials Management → Purchasing → Purchase Order → Define Screen Layout at Document level

Here select ME21N, Click on Details, then double clek on " Basic data, Item ". There you have the option to make the field Short text as Required entry or Optional entry or Hidden.

Go to Screen layout at document level. In which select the document as you mentioned in you PO document type.

Under that menu go to Basic  Data, Item in which select the Short text to optional.

SPRO>MM>Purchasing>PO >Define Screen Layout at Document Level

Select correspodning tcode (ME21N).

Its can be configured by "Define Screen Layout at Document Level"

Please search on SCN before posting any query ///

Hi,

   Go to OLME-PO- Define Doc type. Here, check the screen layout assigned to the doc type. Now, Go to OLME-PO-Define screenlayout at doc level. Here, you can define the screen layout.
